Privacy Policy

Effective June 1, 2026 · Last updated June 1, 2026

Pinhigh is an iPhone app, published by Lost Coast, LLC (Lost Coast), that puts illustrated golf holes on your home and lock screen as widgets. We built it to be private by default. This policy explains the limited data the app and a few providers process so it can work, and the things we do not collect.

The short version

  • No account and no sign-in. We don’t know who you are.
  • We don’t collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or health data.
  • No analytics, no advertising, no cross-app tracking. We never sell your data.
  • To handle purchases and send the notifications you opt into, a small number of providers (Apple, RevenueCat, OneSignal) process limited technical data, described below.

1. Who we are

Pinhigh is operated by Lost Coast, LLC. The app is distributed through Apple’s App Store under the identifier com.lostcoast.pinhigh. For any privacy question, contact us at email us.

2. Information we process

Because there is no account, the app identifies your installation with random, app-specific identifiers rather than your identity. The data below is the full extent of what is processed.

Purchases & subscriptions

When you buy a hole pack or subscribe to All-Access, the payment is handled by Apple’s App Store and the resulting entitlement is managed through RevenueCat. We receive an anonymous, app-generated user identifier and your entitlement information (which packs you own, whether your subscription is active, and its renewal or expiration date) so the app and its widget can unlock the right artwork. We never receive your card number or payment details; Apple processes all payments.

Notifications (opt-in)

If you allow notifications (we only ask after you set up your first widget), we use OneSignal to deliver occasional notices, such as when a new hole pack is available. OneSignal processes a push token issued by Apple, a random per-install identifier we generate for this purpose, and standard device information (such as device model, operating-system version, time zone, and language) needed to deliver notifications. This identifier is intentionally kept separate from your purchase identifier. You can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings.

Catalog & artwork delivery

The app fetches the hole catalog and downloads artwork from our backend, hosted on Supabase. To deliver an image you’re entitled to, the app sends your anonymous app-user identifier and the artwork’s ID to request a temporary, signed download link. As with any internet request, technical information such as your IP address is processed by our hosting providers to deliver content and protect the service. We do not use this to build a profile of you.

On-device data

Your widget choices (which hole is shown and the rotation mode), which packs you’ve already seen (used to badge them “New”), your current entitlements, and a small cache of downloaded artwork are stored on your device and shared with the Pinhigh widget through a private app group. This information stays on your device and is removed when you delete the app.

3. What we do not collect

  • No name, email address, phone number, or mailing address
  • No precise or approximate location
  • No contacts, photos, calendar, microphone, camera, or health data
  • No advertising identifier (IDFA), and we show no App Tracking Transparency prompt because we do not track you
  • No analytics, behavioral event tracking, or crash-reporting profiles tied to you
  • No data sold or shared for advertising

4. How we use information

We use the limited data above only to:

  • deliver, restore, and manage your purchases and subscription;
  • unlock and display the artwork you’re entitled to, including in the widget;
  • send the notifications you choose to receive; and
  • operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to running the app.

5. Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers who process data on our behalf. Each maintains its own privacy policy:

  • Apple: App Store, in-app purchases, and push delivery (APNs).
  • RevenueCat: Processes purchases and subscription entitlements.
  • OneSignal: Delivers opt-in push notifications (e.g. new pack alerts).
  • Supabase: Hosts the hole catalog and artwork files.

6. Children’s privacy

Pinhigh is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app requires no account and collects no personal data.

7. Your choices & rights

  • Notifications: enable or disable any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → Pinhigh.
  • Purchases: manage or cancel a subscription in the App Store, and use “Restore Purchases” in the app to recover prior purchases.
  • Deleting your data: because we keep no personal profile, deleting the app removes the identifiers and data stored on your device.

Depending on where you live (for example the EEA or UK under the GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing. Because the app holds only anonymous, app-specific identifiers and we operate no account system, we generally cannot link data to a named individual; contact us at email us and we will help to the extent we can. We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are used under California law.

8. Data retention

Entitlement and preference data live on your device and within our purchase provider’s systems for as long as needed to provide the service. Cached artwork is capped (about 50 MB) and rotated automatically. Deleting the app removes on-device data; purchase records retained by Apple and RevenueCat are governed by their own policies and applicable law.

9. Security

All network requests use encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections, and artwork is delivered through signed, time-limited links. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect the limited data we process.

10. International users

The app and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries where they operate. By using Pinhigh, you understand that your information may be processed in these locations.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or on this page.
